Right ? This fragrance is a real cameleon 😄 Sometimes it's so peppery that it makes me choke, sometimes it's super milky, sometimes it's a cup of Earl grey with iris roots in the back ... 😆

They both smell like black tea to me, both milky but I would say Blue madeleine is more discreet. The tea note is more obvious to me in Lost Alice, maybe because it is more potent 😉

I have a good sillage with it. Concerning the longevity I would say 4 to 5 hours on my skin, then you have to get close to me to smell it but it stays really well on my clothes. (And I have very dry skin so maybe not the best for longevity 😅)

I think that depending on the weather it can be different too. Last time I tried it I appreciated a bit more and found it pretty though quiet (which is not necessary a bad thing). Now I think that it's maybe too musky for me, which is why it is less my taste. I was a bit disappointed I didn't like it more but still I'm sure some people can love it 😉

@@OlfactiveStories I very much appreciate your honest opinion! There aren’t many out there. There’s many “popular” fragrance that just don’t work for me at all. Musk is a tricky one, most of the time it smells like laundry soap on me. My insolence is so pretty with its almond and raspberry combo but the white musk base reminds me of dryer sheet 😞

Proust is not known to be the funniest to read ^^ I think I had to read "Du côté de chez Swann" at school and his descriptions are very very long :D Indeed the name is inspired by that madeleine from Proust but it is also the grandma's firstname of the creator of the fragrance. So I guess this is more or less a tribute to his grandma.

It's not as soapy as a n°5 or even n°22 for sure but it has something clean to it. May come from the vetiver, I know that one type of vetiver smells earthy to me and the other one very clean.

Oh no I've not tried this one but I'll give it a sniff next time I go yo the pharmacy. If you want a stronger tea fragrance I would suggest you to try Neroli outrenoir by Guerlain or Wulong cha by Nishane. Unfortunately a bit more expensive 😅

And I think you'd like Thé Yulong by Armani privé too 😉 If you're looking more for a citrussy vetiver, they are more possibilities and easier to find a cheaper alternative like Nerolia vetiver by Guerlain or even Terre d'Hermès eau intense, or Mon vetiver by Essential parfum ...

I have the narcissus one, I found it pretty and really interesting. The only one I was sure to love and didn't was the iris one...

Oh which one do you like in the Dries Van Noten fragrances? I like their iris, the peppery rose, the gourmand one and their last release (mystic moss I think).

Indeed I found that Eau de Audacity was quite similar but "softer" to me. (It was not yet released when I filmed this video). All my YSL boxes open like that. I bought my Babycat from the YSL website directly in France. Maybe the boxes are different in other countries.

@@OlfactiveStories I noticed after I commented that your Babycat bottle is the 75 ml. I have the 125 ml. My box has a base where the perfume rests, and the top lifts off revealing the bottle inside. I'm not a fan of the Babycat box. I don't know that Eau The Audacity is softer, I think it's a tad sweeter.

You're right about Lost Alice and Une pistache. They have indeed some similarities! Like a lactonic almond note and carrot seeds. Sometimes the opening of Lost Alice is very peppery to me. I've finished my samples of it and I know that I have a travel size of it somewhere ... but I can't find it lol Zoologist is one of these brands that is not easy to find in France. I wish I could try their fragrances, I think so far I may have found a sample of the Nightingale a few years ago.

Funny how things smell differently from one person to another. I think the climate changes the fragrances too as when it's too warm I can't wear it (Jasmins Marzipane). I have 4 fragrances from Atelier des fleurs, I can still talk about these ones :) (Their collection is huge now). I found them at Sephora here, but also I think you may find them in Printemps or Galeries Lafayette.

Haha that's true that you had a nice weather lately 😊 Jasmins Marzipane works only in cold weather for me. I wore it when I went to De Haan (Belgium) for the holidays. The weather was cool and rainy and I found it super comforting 🥰 N°19 poudré and EDP were the green fragrances I really enjoyed this Spring. The EDP is even greener (I think that one will be in my next favourites of the month 😉)

I recently tried their Immortelle one. Really lovely, I think it would work very well with Ylang cananga and Vanilla planifolia 🥰 Une pistache was a very good surprise. I discovered it thanked to a shop assistant at Printemps Paris. And it stayed in the back of my mind for a few months before I pulled the trigger 😄

Je pense que j'ai surtout eu peur qu'ils arrêtent une des versions et passent l'eau de parfum dans leur collection exclusive (pour un prix différent 😅) Je ne pense pas que tu apprécieras l'eau de parfum si tu n'aimes pas les parfums trop verts mais peut être la version poudrée te plaira davantage 😉 J'avais entendu des rumeurs sur un nouveau parfum dans la collection Jardin l'année dernière chez Hermès. Peut-être arrivera-t-il cette année du coup 😊

I meant that Neroli plein sud is not as good for me 😉 I don't think they reformulated Neroli Outrenoir (they'd better not 😆) The first one I think of is Osmanthe Yunnan of course 😊 (When I think about leather, Hermès is the first brand I think of ^^) Otherwise I remember liking Luna by Kemi.

I bought it online at the beginning of the year when it was a bit cheaper (105-110€ for 100ml). The Chanel prices have become a bit crazy lately, on their website it's 164€ 😅 I'm glad you found some useful information 😊😘

I have a special bond with this fragrance. I think this was the very first fragrance I tried from a private collection and the very first one I bought from this Dior collection. A few years later I'm still enjoying it 🥰
